The Rockford Skating Club is proud to be affiliated with United Skates Figure Skating (USFS). Our purpose is to aid members in fulfilling their individual goals in the sport, while promoting a spirit of camaraderie among fellow skaters. Membership in the club is open to skaters of all ages and abilities.


Summer Freestyle Schedules

Please find below links to our summer skating freestyle schedules.  Please note that the summer freestyle sessions will be at Carlson the week of June 3rd.  Then summer freestyle sessions move to Riverview through June 28th.  At that point, the freestyle sessions will return to Carlson for the remainder of the summer.  There are slight differences between the two schedules, so please make sure you referring to the appropriate schedule.

figure_skater.jpgThe Rockford Skating Club is proud to announce that the Rockford Open will be held on Sunday, June 30th, 2013 at Carlson Ice Arena.  There will be compulsary and freeskate events for Snowplow Sam through USFS Open Juvenile and Competitive Test Track through Senior level,  We are also offering events Adult 1 - USFS Bronze.  The registration deadline is May 13th and the online application can be found at http://comp.entryeeze.com/Home.aspx?cid=303. Skater Off-Ice Training Return to PEAK

 Off-Ice conditioning class designed for figure skaters looking to improve on-ice skills through increased athleticism.  A complete 60 minute workout based on the S.T.A.R.S. Exercise Guide including cardiovascular conditioning, strength/power, core work, flexibility, agility and coordination.  Program also aims to reduce risk for injury by keeping the body fit.

Available to Figure Skating Club members at Pre-Preliminary levels and higher. Must also be at least 10 years of age.

Tuesdays & Thursdays@ 11:15am – 12:15pm in Studio A
